Samurai Champloo
May. 24th, 2010 07:02 pmThe cute guy at work that I loan books to (and wish was 10 years older)(since I certainly *don't* want to be 10 years younger again) burned me Samurai Champloo, which I started watching today.
He said, "I figured you'd like it since you like Cowboy Bebop." He could've just as easily said, "I figured you'd like it because you like The Boondocks." It seems to be a combination of the two -- especially the ep with the guy doing beatbox into the handle of his sword and Mugen getting roofied. Anime really does have an interesting way of blending comedy and pathos. And of course I always love voice cameos by Johnny Yong Bosch.

Of course I went online to see if I could download music from the show and naturally the only one I *can't* get connected to is "Battle Cry", the theme song. Life's like that.
In other news, it was 94 degrees today. This is unusual, but since it was snowing last month, I'll take it.
